Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s midfield gem, and their pursuit of the youngster has just been boosted.

According to reports, Tottenham are not expected to purchase Randal Kolo Mauni permanently in the summer, with the Frenchman failing to convince completely so far in his loan spell at N17.

In fact, it has been suggested that Kolo Muani himself has long believed that he has no future at Spurs.

While the Lilywhites and PSG may not negotiate over the Frenchman, it has now emerged that they could hold talks over a midfielder.

Tottenham target Senny Mayulu may not sign a new contract at PSG

According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham Hotspur showed interest in signing Senny Mayulu last summer, and they may be handed an opportunity to land the youngster this term.

The versatile 19-year-old, who, although a midfielder by trade, can also play in attack, has had a fine campaign for PSG, with four goals and five assists so far.

However, the Ligue 1 giants’ contract talks with Mayulu’s representatives have now hit a stalemate due to disagreements over salary demands.

The France Under-21 international’s future in Paris is now in doubt as his current deal only runs until 2027, and Spurs are not the only ones who are fans of the player.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are said to be ‘closely monitoring’ the youngster’s situation ahead of the summer.

Spurs may have to break the bank to land Mayulu

The Premier League interest in Mayulu does not end there, with Aston Villa and Newcastle also making ‘informal approaches’ in the past.

However, CaughtOffside reveal that as things stand, Arsenal and Chelsea are considered the ‘most likely’ destinations for the midfielder.

PSG are determined not to lose the player for free, but they also have no intention of accepting a cut-price fee this summer.

The French club are expected to open negotiations at €60m (£52.3m) for Mayulu, with the fee potentially rising up to €65m-€70m (£56.6m-£61m).
