Jamie O’Hara has already completely written off one of Tottenham’s big-money summer signings, comparing him to Manchester United flop Antony.
One Tottenham attacker has been coming in for extremely harsh criticism over the last few weeks after failing to settle quickly in the Premier League.
Many pundits have noted that Xavi Simons is struggling to cope with the pace and the physicality of English football, and some experts have already written him off.
Among the Dutchman’s most vocal critics has been O’Hara, who has been taking aim at Xavi regularly over the past few weeks.

Tottenham’s Xavi Simons signing compared to Man United’s Antony mistake
A few days ago, O’Hara suggested that Xavi looks like a youth team player who has never played first-team football.
Now the former Spurs midfielder has completely written off the 22-year-old as a flop, remarking that Tottenham have signed ‘an Antony’ and that the Lilywhites appear to be playing with 10 men when he is on the pitch.
O’Hara told talkSPORT about the former RB Leipzig man: “It feels like we signed an Antony. Xavi Simons, I’m sick to death of him. He gives the ball away, soft, short, and Caicedo nicks it off him.
“Honestly, he’s come on for Bergvall after five minutes, and it’s like we’re playing with ten men. I’m sick of it, £52million we spent and he’s bang average, he gives the ball away for fun.”
Thomas Frank continues to defend Xavi but makes admission about his confidence
Thomas Frank has continued to defend the 22-year-old over recent weeks, suggesting that some of the criticism aimed at him is ‘unfair’.
Following the loss to Chelsea, the Tottenham boss acknowledged that Xavi is short of confidence at the moment, which is evident from the attacking midfielder’s body language.
However, according to reports, Spurs are confident that Xavi will come good and showcase his quality once he gets used to the demands of Premier League football.
