Tottenham will be over the moon as Mikey Moore thrives in new Rangers position

Mikey Moore has managed to turn things around at Rangers after a difficult start to his loan spell, and the Tottenham youngster is now looking unstoppable in his new role.

There was a lot expected of the 18-year-old when he made the switch to the Scottish side, but things did not go according to plan for the teenager in his first two months at the club.

There were reports that Moore was unhappy with his role in Russel Martin’s system, and that Tottenham could recall the youngster in January.

In fact, several Championship clubs were looking to sign Moore on loan in January, but everything has changed since a new manager came through the door at Ibrox.

Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore is thriving as a number 10

TBR Football point out that since Martin was replaced by Danny Rohl, the Spurs academy graduate has been shifted to a number ten role.

That is the position that Moore played for Tottenham’s and England’s youth sides, and he has looked like a transformed player since the switch.

The teenager’s confidence appears to be growing with each outing, and he posted some impressive numbers in the Gers’ 1-0 win over Hibernian on Wednesday.

In the 65 minutes he got under his belt on Wednesday, Moore managed 39 touches, completed two dribbles, won three of his four duels and completed 22 of his 25 passes.

All eyes will be on Moore this Sunday

The Rangers fans are now raving about Moore, with the youngster quickly winning them over, now that he has the backing of his manager.

He will get an opportunity to become a Rangers hero this Sunday as he and his teammates travel to Celtic Park for the Old Firm derby.

The Spurs man appears guaranteed to start as a number 10 on the back of his showing against Hibernian, and many Tottenham fans will also be tuning in to see how he does on the big stage.
