Tottenham will love what Oxford United fans are saying about Will Lankshear

Tottenham supporters will be delighted with what Oxford United fans had to say about Will Lankshear after his latest standout performance, with praise pouring in for the young striker’s all-around display.

Tottenham Hotspur decided to loan Will Lankshear out once more this summer, sending the young forward to the Championship as he continues his development.

Competition for places at Tottenham Hotspur in the number nine role is fierce, and few could argue with the decision to let the youngster head out on loan again this season.

Last term, Lankshear struggled to make an impact at West Brom; however, this campaign, he already looks sharper and more assured in his overall game.

Tottenham loanee Will Lankshear earns Oxford United praise

The 20-year-old is currently at Oxford United, and in their latest clash against Bristol City, he caught the eye once again, delivering an impressive performance despite not finding the net, with Oxford supporters full of praise for him.

Lankshear’s pressing from the front was tireless, and his link-up play was intelligent, while his movement consistently stretched the Bristol City backline, leaving him unfortunate not to be rewarded with a goal.

Supporters of the U’s were quick to take to social media platform X to share their thoughts on the Tottenham loanee, with one writing: “Lankshear is looking dangerous as usual!”

Another fan added: “Definition of a complete performance! Lankshear is absolutely incredible.” A further post read: “What a great all-round team performance today. Proud of the boys. Lankshear is a beast.”

Finally, another supporter summed it up by saying: “Shout out to Lankshear. Quality since the day we signed him. Plays like a seasoned pro. Great team performance today.”

Thomas Frank and Spurs will be over the moon

Lankshear has been in strong form since making the move to Oxford United, with three goals in his first six league appearances and performances that suggest he is developing quickly.

Spurs will certainly be encouraged by the 20-year-old’s progress on loan, as he continues to gather the experience and consistency needed to one day push for a role in the first team.

For now, Lankshear’s focus will remain on building momentum with Oxford, and with their next league fixture coming against bottom-placed Sheffield United, he will see it as a real chance to add to his growing goal tally.
