Tottenham winger ready to demand transfer

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, 24, is ready to demand a transfer in January with Leicester, Swansea, Aston Villa and West Brom interested in the England international.

Townsend was frozen out of the win against Anderlecht after he clashed with fitness coach Nathan Gardiner during the warm down after the 2-1 win against Aston Villa on Monday night – a match in which he did not feature from the bench.

Mauricio Pochettino was critical of Townsend’s actions when speaking to the media and is known to be a stickler for discipline among his squad.

According to the Mirror, the winger is now ready to put in a transfer request in order to increase his playing time ahead of Euro 2016 with Spurs said to be ready to accept any offers in the region of £8million.
