Tottenham Hotspur could have nine absentees for their Champions League clash against Slavia Prague.
Just when there seemed to be some light at the end of the tunnel for Spurs vis-à-vis injuries, some key players have gone down with fitness issues again.
Thomas Frank has confirmed that Destiny Udogie is now out of action until January, which comes as a bitter blow, given that the left-back was starting to look like his old self over the last few weeks.
The Italian joins many long-term absentees on the sidelines as Frank tries to rotate his Spurs squad through a busy winter period.

The Tottenham players who could miss Slavia Prague clash
Udogie joins Tottenham’s long-term injury absentees: Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Dominic Solanke on the treatment table.
Additionally, Mathys Tel, Kota Takai and Radu Dragusin are not eligible as they have not been registered in the club’s Champions League squad.
With Thomas Frank admitting that Brennan Johnson is ‘touch and go’, that potentially brings the total list of absentees to nine for the Lilywhites.
Frank admits Tel could return to the Champions League squad
According to an amendment to UEFA’s rules, clubs can replace one outfield player in their Champions League squad in case of an injury.
Given Dominic Solanke’s continued absence, Frank has admitted that Tottenham are considering bringing Tel into the squad.
The 20-year-old would certainly be a handy option for the Dane to have, especially given that Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani have played a lot of football of late.
