Tottenham look to become sixth team in history to complete the European clean sweep

Tottenham Hotspur are just one day away from the biggest night in the club’s history, as they look to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time.

Spurs take on Liverpool in Madrid tomorrow night, with both Premier League sides looking to follow up their impressive semi-final comebacks with CL glory.

However, did you know that Spurs would actually become just the sixth team in history to win all three of UEFA’s major club competitions if they were to lift the Champions League this season (UEFA).

These three trophies include the European Champion Clubs’ Cup, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League and European Cup Winners’ Cup.

Spurs won the UEFA Cup (Europa League) back in 1972 and 1984, while they scooped the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1963.

Tottenham have yet to win a European Cup, now known as the Champions League, but who knows if that will still be true by Saturday night.

If they pull it off, Tottenham would join Juventus, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Man United as the only clubs to have achieved such a feat.
