Report: Tottenham would have to pay club-record fee for Premier League ace this summer

Tottenham Hotspur would likely have to pay a transfer fee of around £70million if they wish to sign Eberechi Eze this summer, according to Football Insider.

Crystal Palace are demanding a hefty fee for the 25-year-old who has impressed for Crystal Palace once again this season, with his performances under new coach Oliver Glasner having been particularly impressive.

Football Insider reported earlier this month that Tottenham and Manchester City are both monitoring the attacking midfielder’s situation at Selhurst Park.

Eberechi Eze would cost Tottenham around £70m this summer

Palace are in a particularly strong position with their demands after Eze signed a new contract in November of last year which saw him extend his deal until the summer of 2027.

Tottenham would have to break their transfer record fee if they were to shell out £70million this summer for Eze and it seems likely that the club would want to sign a couple of players for such a fee instead.

If Manchester City are serious in their interest in Eze, it would certainly put them in the box seat ahead of Spurs considering their spending power and ability to offer consistent Champions League football and trophies.
