Tottenham youngster making a great impression at League One club

Tottenham Hotspur loaned out several of their young academy stars to EFL clubs during the January transfer window.

Some players with first-team appearances this season, including Harvey White and Jack Clarke, have hit the ground running for their clubs but another player who is turning a lot of heads is one who took the step down to League One during the summer – TJ Eyoma.

Eyoma joined Lincon City on a season-long loan deal in August and the move has turned out to be an extremely fruitful one for the youngster so far.

The right-back has established himself as an import part of the Lincon side, who are currently sitting at the top of the League One table.

The 21-year-old has made 34 appearances for Lincon, 24 of which have come in the league and he will be hoping to help the side achieve promotion to the Championship.

The Imps boast an excellent defensive record this season, having conceded just 20 goals in 26 games in the league so far.

Eyoma was in action on Tuesday night as Michael Appleton’s side played out a 0-0 draw in a top-of-the-table clash against Hull City, which was the club’s third consecutive clean sheet in a row.

Lincolnshire Live gave the Spurs youngster a 7/10 for his performance against the Tigers on Tuesday.

Spurs Web Opinion

One would have thought that Eyoma’s chances of breaking into the Spurs team had passed given that he is now 21 years of age and is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.

However, the youngster is certainly showing this season that he possesses plenty of talent and perhaps he could be a late bloomer. I would not be surprised if Spurs loan the right-back out to a Championship club next season.
