Tottenham youngster nominated for Premier League 2 award

Tottenham youth starlet Alfie Devine has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for March.

Devine has been in stellar form for the club’s Under-23 outfit all season and has starred despite the side’s patchy run over the last month.

The 17-year-old’s main highlight came in the form of a stunning solo goal to pull Spurs within touching distance in the north London derby against Arsenal.

He then tallied in the 3-1 win over Leicester two weeks later in a month that saw the team pick up a victory and two defeats.

In his three appearances through March, Devine turned out across all levels in the attacking third including a cameo at centre forward against the Foxes.

His strong displays have taken his season tally to nine goals and three assists over 15 games this term (Transfermarkt).

Devine continued his impressive form for the reserve side despite the club having a tricky month overall. Hopefully, he is able to continue that into the end of the season which will put him in contention for pre-season in the summer.
