Tottenham youngster scores 5 goals and assists 2 in 7-0 win for Under-18s

Jaden Williams produced a sensational display for Tottenham’s Under-18s, scoring five goals and assisting the other two in the 7-0 win over Birmingham City.

Williams had already found the net five times for the Under-18s this season heading into Saturday’s game (TransferMarkt) and he continued that form within the first 30 minutes, latching onto Max McKnight’s pass and applying a cool finish from just inside the box.

He then doubled the score from the edge of the box just five 5 minutes later, giving the Lilywhites a 2-0 lead going into the interval.

The 17-year-old carried on from where he left off after the break, netting his third just two minutes into the second half before a fourth soon followed from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the box.

Williams then turned provider, teeing up midfielder George Abbott to fire into the top corner for his first goal of the season.

The centre-forward then produced a smart finish from a tight angle to score his fifth of the game before setting up captain Rio Kyerematen for Tottenham’s seventh goal.

This performance will certainly do wonders to Williams’ confidence and one would expect the floodgates to open for the teenager over the next couple of months.

The youngster has already got a few opportunities for the Under-23s this season, which suggests that he is highly thought off by the academy coaches at Spurs.
