Tottenham youngster suffering disappointing loan

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of promising young stars out on loan this season in an attempt to get some first team football under their belts.

While the academy system and youth competitions like the Premier League 2 provide a type of experience, it is nowhere near a substitute for real competitive play.

The likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kazaiah Sterling, Shayon Harrison, Josh Onomah, Marcus Edwards and more are currently out on loan to smaller clubs.

In January, it looked as if Anthony Georgiou, the 21-year-old Tottenham winger, had secured a huge loan move to La Liga side Levante.

Many thought that he would slot into the first team squad in Spain, however, the dream move has been anything but so far.

Georgiou made his debut a week ago as a substitute in Levante’s B side, raising questions over the point of this loan move.

Hopefully they are just easing him in, but the winger will want first team minutes under his belt quickly if he is to impress Pochettino.
