Tottenham’s £10m signing continues to experience a season to forget

Football.London’s Rob Guest has provided an update on how the Spurs players who are currently out on loan are faring and it turns out things are not looking positive for Jack Clarke at Queens Park Rangers.

After completing a £10million move from Leeds United last summer, the youngster was loaned back to Marcelo Bielsa’s side for the first half of the season but hardly got a look in.

His first-team prospects did not improve after being loaned to QPR in January, managing only one start for Mark Warburton’s side before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 19-year-old would have been hoping his fortunes at Loftus Road would have changed after the restart but that has not been the case.

Clarke has not played a single minute in QPR’s defeats against Barnsley and Charlton since the Championship campaign resumed (transfermarkt).

Despite Warburton making a total of five changes in QPR’s 1-0 defeat at The Valley as the away side looked for a route back into the game, Clarke did not manage to get on the pitch.

The Hoops have seven games remaining this season and the youngster will be hoping he can get some game time under his belt before returning to Spurs.

While Clarke’s struggles at Leeds this season could have been due to many different factors, the fact that he has not able to get much game time for a struggling QPR side does not bode well for him at all. The youngster desperately needs to play matches if he is to regain his confidence.
