Tottenham’s big London derby against Chelsea, which could prove crucial to the Lilywhites’ survival hopes, is now set to be rescheduled.
Spurs finally picked up their first league win of 2026 at Wolves on Saturday, and Roberto De Zerbi is hopeful that the win will change the Tottenham players’ mentality as they attempt to avoid relegation.
Spurs sit two points behind West Ham heading into their final four Premier League matches, with the two clubs seemingly involved in a direct tussle for 17th place.

Arguably the biggest fixture left on the calender for Tottenham is their trip to Stamford Bridge next month, and the Blues would undoubtedly be relishing the potential prospect of relegating their London rivals.

Tottenham’s trip to Stamford Bridge rescheduled after Chelsea progress to FA Cup final
Spurs were originally scheduled to play Chelsea in their penultimate game of the season on May 17.
However, the Premier League revealed last week that the fixture’s date was subject to change if the Blues made it into the finals of the FA Cup.
The West London club have now sealed their spot in the FA Cup final after overcoming Leeds 1-0, and they will now take on Man City in the showpiece event at Wembley on 16 May.
A new date and time are thus expected to be confirmed soon for Tottenham’s trip to Chelsea.

Spurs will be desperate to play Chelsea before their cup final
While the Premier League are yet to announce a new date and time for the London derby, there are only two slots available, looking at Chelsea’s fixture list.
The Blues will either have to play Tottenham mid-week in the week leading up to the FA Cup final or in the week after the final.
Spurs will be hoping it is the former rather than the latter, as that way their rivals would have half an eye on the final and could field a weakened team for the derby, especially given that they have nothing to play for in the Premier League.
