Tottenham’s clash with Manchester City set for date change

The fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City is set to be moved due to the struggle Spurs are having to find a venue, according to The Daily Mail.

The clash against the champions was set for 4pm on Sunday 28 October.

However, it is looking less likely by the day the new Spurs Stadium will be ready in time for the Premier League tie.

In addition, Wembley Stadium is occupied on that date with the NFL making their yearly trip to London.

It is believed City have refused to reverse the fixture in order for it to be played at the Etihad Stadium making it more difficult for Spurs to find a solution.

With a possible third venue out of the picture, it is likely Spurs will request the date to be changed to the following Monday in order for the Lilywhites to use Wembley.

The Daily Mail believes City are likely to agree to a date change with it being the only viable option Spurs have left.
