Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie picks up impressive award while out on loan

Football.London have revealed that Destiny Udogie has picked up Udinese’s Player of the Month award for February.

Tottenham’s signing of Udogie appears to be an increasingly inspired move with each game that the youngster plays for Udinese, with the left wing-back continuing to go from strength to strength this season.

The 20-year-old produced another impressive display for Andrea Sottil’s men on Sunday as they overcame AC Milan 3-1 at the Dacia Arena to keep their hopes of European qualification alive.

The Italy Under-21 international was heavily involved in the home side’s second goal in stoppage time at the end of the first half and then set up Udinese’s third goal in the 70th minute, which clinched the result.

Udogie found space in the box and although his shot was rolling wide, it was tapped home at the back post by Kingsley Ehizibue to secure the victory.

Football.London revealed that the left wing-back was awarded Udinese’s Player of the Month Award for last month after the final whistle on Sunday.

Spurs Web Opinion

There might have been some fortune involved with the assist, with Udogie clearly not getting the desired connection on the cross/shot but that does not take away from another solid display from the 20-year-old.

My only concern regarding the Italian is whether he would fit in at Spurs next season if the club replace Conte with a manager like Pochettino or Enrique, who prefer playing with a back four.
