The right-back has now delivered another mature display for the Ligue 1 club over the weekend as they emerged 2-0 winners from Paris to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification alive.

The 22-year-old once again featured as a right wing-back for Bruno Genesio’s men, who managed to keep a clean sheet against Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and co, with goals from Karl Toko Ekambi and Arnaud Kalimuendo-Muinga either side of half-time proving the difference between the sides.

Spence completed 78 minutes on Sunday before being replaced by Hamari Trore, with Football.London revealing that the former Middlesbrough man completed 31 of his 34 passes, made three recoveries, and won eight of his 11 duels.

Meanwhile, GFFN gave the on-loan Spurs man a rating of 6/10 for his performance and wrote about his display: “The Tottenham Hotspur loanee was unstoppable down the right.

“An all-action performance that saw him win the majority of his defensive duels, as well as offering a constant outlet for his team’s counter-attacks.

“A technically proficient performance that saw him come close to getting on the scoresheet.”

Spence has proven over the last few weeks that he can be defensively disciplined, which does not reflect well on Conte’s refusal to give him game time during the first half of the season.

The 22-year-old seems to be growing in confidence with each outing, which is great news for Tottenham.
