Tottenham’s final seven fixtures compared to their top-four rivals

The fixture list for Tottenham at the business end of the season looks extremely favourable compared to that of their rivals for fourth place.

Owing to their big wins against Newcastle United and Aston Villa, allied with Arsenal, West Ham and Man Utd dropping points, Spurs now sit three points clear in fourth place.

The Lilywhites look to be hitting form at the right time while the other three clubs seem to be struggling for goals.

However, what perhaps makes Antonio Conte’s men clear favourites for Champions League qualification is their fixture list compared to the other three clubs.

Apart from a trip to Anfield and a North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs have a winnable set of fixtures until the head of the season.

Here is the club’s fixture list until the end of the season:

Brighton (H) – April 16
Leicester (H) – April 30
Brentford (A) – April 23
Liverpool (A) – May 7
Arsenal (H) – May 12
Burnley (H) – May 15
Norwich (A) – May 22

In comparison, Arsenal, West Ham and Man Utd have several difficult away fixtures left in the final run-in.

Mikel Arteta’s men still have to travel to Southampton, Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle and Spurs in addition to playing Man Utd at home.

The Red Devils have away trips to Anfield, the Emirates and Selhurst Park while also hosting Chelsea. Meanwhile, the Hammers play Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City among their final seven fixtures.

Arsenal’s Premier League fixtures:

Southampton (A) – April 16
Chelsea (A) – April 20
Man United (H) – April 23
West Ham (A) – May 1
Leeds (H) – May 8
Tottenham (A) – May 12
Newcastle (A) – May 16
Everton (H) – May 22

Man United’s Premier League fixtures:

Norwich (H) – April 16
Liverpool (A) – April 19
Arsenal (A) – April 23
Brentford (H) – May 2
Brighton (A) – May 7
Chelsea (H) – May 15
Crystal Palace (A) – May 22

West Ham’s Premier League fixtures:

Brentford (A) – April 10
Burnley (H) – April 17
Chelsea (A) – April 24
Arsenal (H) – May 1
Norwich (A) – May 7
Manchester City (H) – May 15
Brighton (A) – May 22

Spurs Web Opinion

The fixture list on paper is favourable to us but that could be deceiving as we have already seen this season that all four of these clubs could trip up in matches that one would expect them to win. So, Conte will not allow his players to get carried away and will want to take it game by game.
