Tottenham’s long-term plans for Luka Vuskovic have finally emerged, with the highly-rated teenager expected to return to north London this summer following a standout loan spell in Belgium.
Tottenham Hotspur in recent windows have signed youngsters with the hope of developing them into world-class players.
The likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are proof that the club’s strategy is yielding results, as Gray won Young Player of the Year at the London Awards.
Meanwhile, Bergvall won three awards at Spurs last season, including OSC Player of the Season, the One Hotspur Player of the Season, and the One Hotspur Juniors Player of the Season.
While these two continue to catch the eye, Spurs have other youngsters who are impressing outside of north London, and one of such is Luka Vuskovic, who was signed two summers ago at the age of 16.

Luka Vuskovic is currently out on loan at Westerlo in Belgium and has since impressed with his goal-scoring and overall play. Indeed, with the teenager now 18, he is eligible to play for Tottenham when he returns to the club this summer.
With the summer window open, it has now been revealed what Spurs’ plans are for the youngster, whose performances have caught the eye and earned him a call-up to the Croatian national team.
According to Ben Jacobs, speaking on the Last Word On Spurs, Tottenham are said to be impressed with Vuskovic’s performances, with the N17 club reported to be fans of his ability to impact both boxes.
He said: “I think Tottenham were incredibly impressed by Vuskovic and his loan spell at Westerlo. Most of the reason is because they are realising this is a very intelligent player who can defend solidly, but also has effective attacking qualities as well.
“That is exactly the type of player Spurs and Ange Postecoglou like – someone that can make an impact in both boxes.”

Vuskovic is certainly a player with an eye for goal as he has scored more goals than Bukayo Saka managed in the Premier League last season, with the defender finding the back of the net seven times and assisting three in all competitions.
Vuskovic was also recognised as one of the next-gen players, with the Croat being ranked 26th amongst football’s upcoming talents.
Spurs are still considering whether the defender’s future lies in Tottenham next season, as another loan is being considered.
Ben Jacobs continued: “Tottenham are delighted with the player and his development; they think he is on track, and to clarify, there is no suggestion, according to my information, that Tottenham would entertain any kind of sale.”
“But what they may choose to do is loan him out for one more season, and that is where Hamburg may be a possibility – they made an enquiry and what they have been told by Spurs is ‘we will let you know later in the window’.”
