Mohammed Kudus has sought permission from Tottenham Hotspur to do something unusual as he steps up his recovery from his hamstring injury.
Kudus, who had made an impressive start to his Spurs career, picked up his injury during Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the start of the calendar year, and has not kicked a ball since.
Spurs have desperately missed the Ghanaian’s pace and directness on the flanks, and the initial expectation was that Kudus would not return before April.
The 25-year-old is one of the double-digit absentees for Tottenham at the moment, and we now know that he will have a new manager when he returns to the training pitch after the Lilywhites parted ways with Thomas Frank.

Tottenham winger Mohammed Kudus is consulting a trusted expert
The Sun have now revealed that the former West Ham man has travelled to Amsterdam to see a specialist as he looks to step up his rehabilitation.
It is revealed that the same specialist helped Kudus recover from a knee injury sustained while playing for Ajax back in 2020.
The Tottenham man has remained close with the medic since then, and he has now decided undergo treatment with him again after receiving permission to do so from the North London club.
Kudus is determined to help Spurs in their run-in
The Sun also say that the winger is ‘responding well to the treatment’ administered by the expert and that he is ‘determined to return stronger for the run-in.
His return could be crucial for the Lilywhites, who currently find themselves mired in a relegation battle.
The report adds that Tottenham’s medical staff remain in contact with their counterparts in Amsterdam as they oversee the Ghanaian’s rehabilitation programme.
