Tottenham’s nemesis to miss tomorrow’s game

Tottenham Hotspur will not have to worry about the threat of Jamie Vardy when they make the trip to Leicester City tomorrow.

The England international has been ruled out of the Premier League clash with a groin injury that also kept him sidelined for their 1-1 draw with Fulham on Wednesday night.

Rather than risk the fitness of the forward who has scored five times in the league for the foxes this season, manager Claude Puel has already confirmed that Vardy will sit this one out.

When you look back at Vardy’s previous record against Tottenham, his absence is certainly good news. Vardy has scored four goals and assisted three in his last seven Premier League appearances against Spurs. Whilst Vardy will not be called upon, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Rachid Ghezzal are all fit.

Tottenham have injuries of their own after it was confirmed that Kieran Trippier (groin) and Juan Foyth (hamstring) are both unavailable.
