Tottenham’s next five fixtures and dates if Leicester match is postponed

It has been reported that Tottenham vs Leicester City is likely to be postponed next weekend in line with Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral (Richard Buxton), meaning Tottenham will be without a Premier League fixture until October 1.

Spurs do have a Champions League fixture scheduled for mid-week, travelling to Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday for the second match in Group D.

The Sun have reported that all Champions League games are expected to go ahead this week, despite the tragic passing of Her Majesty The Queen.

If that is the case, Tottenham’s next five fixtures and dates will be:

Sporting Lisbon vs Tottenham – Champions League – Tuesday, 13 Sep – 17:45

Arsenal vs Tottenham – Premier League – Saturday, 1 Oct – 12:30

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham – Champions League – Tuesday, 4 Oct – 20:00

Brighton vs Tottenham – Premier League – Saturday, 8 Oct – 17:30

Tottenham vs Eintracht Frankfurt – Champions League – Wednesday, 12 Oct – 20:00

So, it appears Tottenham will face four away games from their next five fixtures across all competitions as they build towards the World Cup break. With games every three or four days from October onwards, there will be little room to reschedule Man City or Leicester until the new year either.
