Tottenham’s Player of the Season revealed

Tottenham played out a 2-2 draw against Everton in their final Premier League game of the season at the new stadium.

After the game, the end of season awards were presented and the team went on a lap of honour around the stadium, thanking the fans for their support this season.

As far as the player of the year award was concerned, it was only ever going to be between Son Heung-Min and Moussa Sissoko, and the South Korean has ended up picking up the award this time around.

Son has been crucial for the side and has scored several important goals in the absence of star striker Harry Kane, over the course of the season.

Despite being involved in both the Asia Cup and the Asian Games, the 26-year-old has shown tremendous energy levels this season and his performances have been one of the driving forces behind Tottenham’s sensation run in the Champions League.

The post-match ceremony was streamed on the club’s official Twitter handle, and Son conveyed his delight at picking up the award.

We believe the award was well deserved for Son. He has improved every season since moving to Tottenham from the Bundesliga in the summer of 2015.

This is the season where he went from a very good player to one of Tottenham’s most important. If Tottenham hope to get the better of Liverpool in the Champions League final, then the South Korean needs to be at the top of his game.
