Tottenham’s pre-season fixtures – Who will Spurs face and when?

Now that the 2018/19 season has drawn to a close, the next time we see the Spurs boys on the pitch will be in the pre-season friendlies that begin in late July.

Over the past few seasons, Tottenham have competed in pre-season tournaments all over the globe. Last season saw Spurs take part in the International Champions Cup against Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma and Manchester City. Tottenham will contest in this tournament again this summer facing Juventus, Manchester United and Inter Milan.

Tottenham will also compete in the Audi Cup alongside Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Fenerbahce.

With games scheduled to take place in four different countries (China, England, Germany and Singapore) these pre-season tournaments offer global fans a chance to witness the stars in action.

These tournaments also provide Tottenham with worldwide exposure and serve as an important branding mechanism prior to the start of the Premier League campaign.

The full fixture list for Spurs’ pre-season can be found below:

Sunday 21st July: Tottenham vs Juventus (International Champions Cup), Singapore National Stadium. KO: 7:30pm (local time).

Thursday 25th July: Tottenham vs Manchester United (International Champions Cup), Hongkou Stadium, Shanghai. KO: 7:30pm (local time).

Tuesday 30th July: Tottenham vs Real Madrid (Audi Cup), Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany. KO: 5:00pm.

Wednesday 31st July: Tottenham vs TBC (Audi Cup), Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany. KO: TBC.

Sunday 4th August: Tottenham vs Inter Milan (International Champions Cup), Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. KO: 3pm.

It’s great to see us competing in some of the biggest pre-season tournaments in the world again this year. As mentioned, these tournaments offer great brand exposure for the club.

They also give the players a great opportunity to regroup ahead of the season, as well as the chance for some of the more junior members of the squad to get some game time.
