Tottenham’s predicted route to Champions League glory

Tottenham Hotspur found out their quarter final opponents in the Champions League draw this morning, and it isn’t quite what some were hoping for.

Many saw the likes of Ajax and Porto as the teams to draw at this stage, but Spurs instead will face off against Premier League opposition in the form of Manchester City.

Tottenham will play over two legs against the Premier League leaders next month, as they look to progress into the semi finals, which would be a record for the team in the competition.

Spurs also found out who they will face in the semis if they make it that far, with Juventus and Ajax in Tottenham’s side of the draw.

This means that the winner of Spurs vs City will play the winner of Juve vs Ajax in the next round.

In the other side of the draw we have Man United vs Barcelona and Porto vs Liverpool.

If Spurs are to lift their first trophy in over a decade, this will likely be their route to glory:

Man City > Juventus > Barcelona
