Tottenham’s Premier League match against Leicester rescheduled

Tottenham Hotspur’s upcoming Premier League match against Leicester City has been rescheduled.

The match was due to be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, April 30th with kick-off at 3 pm but will now take place on Sunday, May 1st with an earlier kick-off of 2 pm as a result of Leicester’s progression in the UEFA Conference League.

The Foxes came from behind to beat PSV Eindhoven in Holland earlier this evening 2-1 on aggregate courtesy of two goals inside the last thirteen minutes of the game from James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will now progress to the semi-final and will have to face Tottenham in between both legs of the competition, which are set to be played on April 28th and May 5th, respectively.

PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal confirmed the re-arrangement via his Twitter account.

While the re-arrangement is frustrating for supporters who may have already booked hotels or made travel arrangements, the prospect of Leicester deciding to proritise whether to keep some of their key players fresh for their European involvement over a trip to north London can only be welcomed.
