Tottenham’s Premier League opener against Man City has been rescheduled

Tottenham Hotspur’s first fixture of the new Premier League season against Manchester City has been rescheduled for live television coverage by Sky Sports.

The match which was due to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, August 14th, will now be held a day later on Sunday, August 15th with kick-off at 4:30 pm GMT.

It is arguably the toughest fixture that Spurs could have faced in their first match of the new campaign against Pep Guardiola’s champions.

It will be a baptism of fire for whoever will eventually be unveiled as Tottenham’s new head coach following the PR disaster which has occurred over the past 60 days following Jose Mourinho’s departure.

The North Londoners will be looking to vastly improve on last season’s disappointing seventh place finish in the table which saw them scrape into the Europa Conference League on the final day of the campaign with a win against Leicester City.
