Tottenham’s social media admin ‘likes’ Arsenal post after 2-0 loss to Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur’s official Twitter account have ‘liked’ Arsenal’s post confirming their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United yesterday.

Spurs needed Newcastle to get a result against the Gunners after beating Burnley to go two points clear of their North London rivals on Sunday.

It was a celebratory atmosphere at St James’ Park in what was the Magpies’ final home game of the season and Eddie Howe’s side certainly delivered, emerging comfortable 2-0 winners over Mikel Arteta’s side, courtesy of a Ben White own goal and Bruno Guimaraes’ late strike.

The result puts Tottenham firmly in the driving seat for a fourth-place finish, with Antonio Conte’s men only needing a point against Norwich at Carrow Road on the final day of the season to seal the Champions League qualification, given their superior goal difference.

The significance of Newcastle’s win was not lost on Spurs’ social media admin, who dropped a cheeky ‘like’ on Arsenal’s post confirming their 2-0 defeat.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is extremely pleasing to see Arsenal fans having a meltdown on social media after running their mouth for the majority of the season about having the best young side in world football.

However, being Spurs fans, we know that it is not over until the fat lady sings and so, we should be cautious of going overboard with our taunting of that lot until we get a result at Norwich.
