Tottenham’s third kit design copied by Iraqi club

The kits that Nike have designed for Tottenham for the past few seasons haven’t exactly been fan favorites. The home kit this season, for example, was met with a lot of disapproval on social media when it was released before the start of the season.

Some fans have also alleged that Tottenham’s away kit this season has been copied from the design of Barcelona’s training kit which was also designed by Nike.

However, Tottenham fans will have little room to complain about the third kit as Nike seem to have gone all out by drawing references from Tottenham’s kit designs in the late 80’s while also designing the patterns on the top half based on an aerial map of the part of North London the club is based in.

Spurs might have only worn their third kit for a handful of games this season, but it seems as though they might have inspired others to copy the design.

Iraqi club Al-Shorta SC who currently find themselves at the top of the Iraqi Premier League have used the exact same colour tones and design for their home kit this season.
