Tottenham’s Thomas Frank just did something no Big Six manager has ever done before

Thomas Frank has reached a new low for Tottenham Hotspur after his side’s 2-0 loss at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Spurs lost against Man United for the first time in four years on Saturday, with the home side emerging 2-0 winners after Cristian Romero was sent off in the 29th minute.

The result has seen the Lilywhites move closer to the relegation zone, with just five points now separating them and 18th-placed West Ham.

Thomas Frank now has another undesirable Tottenham record

The Sun have now revealed that Frank is now officially the worst performing permanent manager to have managed any ‘big six’ clubs in the history of the Premier League.

The Dane now has the lowest points per game and the lowest win percentage of any manager to have managed one of the ‘big six’ in 10 league matches or more.

Tottenham have now accumulated just 29 points from their first 25 matches this season, which equates to just 1.16 points per game.

That is now even lower than the previous record holder, Ruben Amorim, who had an average of 1.23 points per game across his spell at Man United.

The situation could get even worse for the Spurs over the coming weeks

Tottenham have now failed to win any of their last seven Premier League games and have just won two in their last 16 matches.

To make matters worse, the Lilywhites now have two tough games coming up against Newcastle United and Arsenal.

Additionally, they could be without 12 senior players for their clash against Newcastle, with Cristian Romero incurring a four-match suspension after his second red card of the season.
