Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has had over £800,000 stolen in a case of alleged fraud that has now gone to court.
Yves Bissouma looked certain to be on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but a move to Turkey fell through in the latter stages.
As a result, the midfielder is still at Spurs waiting for his contract to expire. However, he has not made an appearance since a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich.
Things are going just as badly off the pitch for Bissouma, who has been the victim of an alleged big-money crime.

Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma loses £800,000 in alleged fraud case
Accroding to The Sun, Bissouma had £834,334.40 stolen in an alleged fraud from his VIP Coutts bank account between September 2022 and June 2024.
Coutts is a private banking company which is popular with celebrities, billionaires and even members of the royal family.
A 31-year-old man named Maurice Gomes was initially arrested after a report from the Bissouma more than a year ago.
Court records show Gomes is alleged to have ‘dishonestly’ transferred Bissouma’s money to himself without the Spurs player’s ‘knowledge or consent’.
The police confirmed Gomes was charged with two counts of fraud by false representation in October. The maximum sentence for each offence is 10 years.
One source said: “This has been deeply hurtful for Yves. It’s been a tough year for him on and off the pitch, and this hanging over his head will have contributed to that.”
Bissouma has had a tough time off the pitch
This is not the first incident where the 29-year-old has been the alleged victim of a crime. Bissouma was robbed of a luxury watch last year and attacked with tear gas outside his hotel in Cannes.
He is not the only Tottenham player to be involved in an off-the-pitch scare. Destiny Udogie was allegedly threatened at gunpoint by a former agent in a recent incident.
