Training news: One Spurs man stays in the gym, one leaves the country, and youngster trains with first team

Tottenham Hotspur are now preparing for their third Champions League match of the campaign, putting the disappointing Watford draw firmly in the rear-view mirror.

Spurs need a win against Red Star Belgrade to lift them off the bottom of the Champions League group and to boost their ambitions of qualifying for the knock-out stages.

Despite taking just a point from two games, Spurs are still better off than they were at this point last season, and they went on to reach the 2019 final.

Football London have now reported that Troy Parrott trained with the first-team again today ahead of the European clash, with the teenager impressing so far this season.

As we reported earlier – Japhet Tanganga trained on his own with one of the sports science staff.

Football London have also added that Michel Vorm remained in the gym today as he looks to increase his fitness after rejoining the club to fill the void left by Lloris.

Meanwhile, Hugo himself is said to have left the country with his family to undergo a period of recuperation after suffering that dislocated elbow.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would love to see Troy Parrott on the bench tomorrow night as I feel the lad definitely deserves to start getting some minutes under his belt. His youth, pace, and passion could be just what Spurs need right now.
