One senior Tottenham man is expected to attract transfer interest from two different sources, according to a journalist.
Spurs’ struggles of late have shown that the squad is still short in several areas, and reports indicate that Thomas Frank will be backed with big funds in January to help address those shortcomings.
The question of who to offload has also been the subject of much debate among Spurs fans, with many players proving well short of the required standard.
One man who has been heavily linked with a move away in January is Richarlison, who is thought to be on the radar of Everton.
Tottenham expect interest from two continents in Richarlison
Journalist Pete O’Rourke has now pointed out that the Lilywhites will shortly face a big decision on the 28-year-old, who has just 18 months left on his contract.
He revealed that the striker is expected to attract interest from Brazil as well as the Saudi Pro League in January.
O’Rourke told Football Insider: “Richarlison’s under contract until 2027 so going into next season he will be going into the final year of his contract.
“Spurs will have to make a decision on him sooner rather later what they plan to do. Will they offer him a new contract or will they be open to offers for him?
“There’s been constant talk of a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, I’m sure there’ll be interest and offers from there, and for him from his native Brazil as well, so, if Spurs decide to make him available, I’m sure he won’t be short of takers either.”
Have Spurs already made a decision on Richarlison?
Just a few days ago, one source claimed that Tottenham have decided to cash in on Richarlison in January as Thomas Frank wants to upgrade on the Brazilian.
That is despite the fact that the former Everton man is Spurs’ top scorer this season, with six goals across all competitions.
However, an earlier report from TEAMtalk claimed that Tottenham will only greenlight Richarlison’s sale if they land another striker in January.
