Troy Deeney names the forwards who could give Harry Kane a run for his money

Watford striker Troy Deeney has described Harry Kane as the best Premier League striker and possibly the world at the moment.

Kane has started the new season in impressive form having now notched nine assists and also found the back of the net on ten occasions in all competitions (transfermarkt).

The forward has struck up a lethal partnership with Heung-min Son this campaign with the pair linking up during the win against Burnley in what was the ninth time this season in which they have combined for a Premier League goal – and the 29th time in total (talkSPORT).

Deeney believes that only Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema of Real Madrid are the only players who could rival Kane.

The Hornets front man was linked with a move to Tottenham during the summer with the North Londoners deciding to bring in Carlos Vinicius from Benfica on a season long loan deal.

“I think he’s the best number nine that’s about in the Premier League at the moment. You could argue in world football – [Robert] Lewandowski and [Karim] Benzema could probably give him a run for his money.”
