Troy Parrott hints at extent of his injury on Twitter after brace against Man City

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Troy Parrott, showed no sign of letting up from his impressive pre-season form last night as he started against Man City in the under 23s.

Parrott scored from the spot, as well as a beautifully curled effort from just inside the box, playing a major part in the 3-1 win over the Citizens.

Unfortunately, Parrott’s evening ended in pain as the forward was removed from the pitch due to injury, a worrying sign for Spurs.

Alasdair Gold claimed that Parrot was hobbling around after being clattered from behind by a City defender. The Irishman fell to the ground soon after and was forced to retire.

Spurs will be hoping that this isn’t too serious, as Parrott and Kane are the only two recognised out-and-out strikers available to Pochettino this season.

However, Parrott seemed to indicate that all was well with his post-match tweet, using a smiling emoji and not referencing the injury at all.
