Troy Parrott’s impressive form in front of goal continued on Tuesday as he netted a brace for Ireland U-21 in their game against Sweden in Kalmar.
The hosts took the lead in the first half, only for the Spurs striker to bring the game back level midway into the second half.
QPR youngster Conor Masterson gave the Irish the lead in the 88th minute, only for Parrott to seal the game with a lovely third goal in stoppage time.
The 17-year-old was put through on goal as the hosts were chasing the game and he kept his composure to lob the keeper and send the visiting fans into rapture.
After the game, the teenager took to social media to reveal his jubilation at his team’s performance and result. Here’s what the youngster tweeted.
The result leaves Stephen Kenny’s side top of Euro 2021 qualifying Group One having taken a maximum nine points from three games.

Very few people are naturally gifted with a goalscorer’s instinct and Parrott certainly seems to have it abundance. While we shouldn’t get carried away with the youngster, there is no doubt that should he keep banging the goals in at a similar rate, that a start for the senior Ireland side isn’t far off for the youngster.
