Destiny Udogie’s agent Stefano Antonelli has been speaking to Sport Italia about his client and has praised the way the Tottenham Hotspur wonderkid has been performing with Udinese despite his high-profile move to Spurs during the summer.

Tottenham signed Udogie for a reported fee of £15m from Udinese in the summer (Sky Sports) before loaning him back to the Italian club for the duration of this season.

A breakout season last year, where Udogie scored five goals and provided three assists in 37 games (Transfermarkt), saw the youngster catch the eye and led to a big move to Spurs.

This term, it’s been a campaign hampered by injury for the 20-year-old, but he has still managed two goals and two assists in 13 games for Udinese (Transfermarkt). Udogie returned to action this week after recovering from his injury and managed to bag an assist.

Udogie has also received prestigious recognition in the last 12 months, making it onto the shortlist for the Golden Boy award (via The Athletic). He has also been named as a player to watch in 2023 by UEFA.

Now, his agent Stefano Antonelli has spoken highly of the character of the player and praised his professionalism while playing in Italy.

He said: “Many thought he would be distracted by Tottenham, but the player is proving to be a true professional and is doing very well. He is at a club, Udinese, that has given him so much: he will continue to do well.”

Destiny Udogie looks to be the real deal and by the sounds of it, has a very mature and pragmatic head on his shoulders too for such a young player. Hopefully, he can bring all of those qualities to Spurs next year and excel in the Premier League. If he does, our left-hand side is sorted for the next ten years.
