Turkish giants deny interest in £30m Spurs flop

Turkish club, Fenerbahce, have denied reports that they are interested in signing Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko.

Over the past few days, numerous reports claimed that a deal was already done, and the Frenchman would head to Turkey for a season on loan.

Sissoko was left out of the squad that faced Manchester United last night, which only added fuel to the rumours.

Fenerbahce have stated: “In the public opinion, the news that we are attempting to transfer Moussa Sissoko does not reflect the truth.

“Regarding a transfer of Moussa Sissoko to our club, there has been no contact with the player, the manager or the club.”

Spurs signed Sissoko for £30m in 2016, and since then the former Newcastle man has struggled to make a name for himself in a Lilywhite shirt.

Many fans were happy at the thought of seeing the back of the Frenchman, but it looks as if he will be sticking around North London for a little while longer.
