Two of Ndombele’s teammates praise him on Twitter after wondergoal against Sheffield United

Tottenham put in an excellent display at Bramall Lane today to overcome Sheffield United 3-1 in the Premier League.

It was a crucial three points for Jose Mourinho’s men, who have gone off the boil in the competition over recent weeks, and serves as a much-needed boost ahead of their upcoming match against Liverpool.

While there was a lot to admire about Tottenham’s performance this afternoon, the game will likely be remembered for one moment of magic that Tanguy Ndombele produced in the second half.

Just when it seemed as though the game was taking up the same frustrating pattern to the North Londoners’ recent outings, Ndombele scored an outstanding goal to give the Lilywhites some breathing space.

The midfielder audaciously lobbed the ball into the far corner of the net with the outside of his right foot despite being under pressure from Sheffield United defenders.

Both Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have taken to social media to rave about the goal, with the Dane even labelling the Frenchman as ‘NdomBALLER’

Ndombele’s goal will live in Tottenham fans’ memories for a long time and is a major contender for Goal of the Season. It was also extremely pleasing to see the Frenchman complete all ninety minutes. Once he improves his fitness levels, there is no limit to the level he can reach in the coming years.
