Tottenham Hotspur have certainly been linked to a number of high-class young players in this transfer window, although they have only managed two senior signings as of yet.
One man who is said to be close to agreeing a move to North London is Fulham youngster, Ryan Sessegnon, who has just one year remaining on his current contract.
Football Insider claim that, after extensive talks, Spurs are likely to secure the signing for £25m some time next week, ahead of the new Premier League season.
Another teenager linked with Spurs recently is St-Etienne’s 18-year-old central defender, William Saliba.
Tottenham reportedly swooped in and attempted to hijack Arsenal’s deal for the youngster, offering him back out on loan to his current club (Guardian).
However, recent reports now state that Arsenal have matched Spurs’ superior offer and the player himself would prefer a switch to the Emirates (ESPN).
Having said that, along with Ryan Sessegnon, Saliba was apparently seen liking an Instagram post of Harry Kane in the new Spurs kit today, so perhaps there is a chance after all.
