Two Spurs stars make WhoScored Team of the Month for April – not Kane

Son Heung-min and Hugo Lloris have made it into WhoScored’s Team of the Month, with both players receiving the highest average rating of any player in their position across the Premier League.

Son’s inclusion in the lineup is not a surprise, with the South Korean scoring in both of Tottenham’s wins in April against Newcastle and Aston Villa, netting a hat-trick in the Lilywhites’ 4-0 win at Villa Park.

The 29-year-old continued his rich vein of form against Leicester City, scoring a brace in Spurs’ 3-1 win over the Foxes.

Son has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month for April on the back of his exploits.

Lloris also made WhoScored’s team, with an average rating of 7/10 across his appearances in April. No goalkeeper conceded fewer goals than the Frenchman last month, with the 35-year-old averaging three saves per game.

The Spurs captain and Son are joined in the eleven by their former Tottenham teammate Christian Eriksen, who got an average rating of 7.89 – second only behind Manchester City star Kevin De Bryne with 7.91.

The fact that Eriksen completed 11 key passes across April suggests that the Dane is very much back to his best. If he has a strong finish to the season, there is no doubt that plenty of top Premier League clubs will be after the former Spurs man’s signature.
