Two Spurs stars progress through to the Copa America quarter-finals

Tottenham Hotspur have a strong South American contingent within their current squad, led by the Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The trio of Juan Foyth, Erik Lamela, and Paulo Gazzaniga are all Argentina internationals, while Davinson Sanchez plays for his native Colombia.

While Lamela and Gazzaniga were not selected this time around, both Foyth and Sanchez were included in their respective Copa America squads for this summer’s tournament.

It has been a successful group stage for both players too, as they each progress to the quarterfinals.

Colombia finished top of Group B, with Sanchez starting each of the first two games. Meanwhile, despite losing to Colombia, Argentina qualified in second place in the group, with Juan Foyth keeping a clean sheet against Qatar yesterday.

Argentina will now face Venezuela in the quarters, with Colombia booking a data with Paraguay. Could one of the Spurs lads be bringing home the trophy this summer?
