‘Unacceptable’ – Kane rues ‘immature’ Tottenham and makes Sessegnon claim

Harry Kane has labelled Tottenham’s performance against NS Mura as ‘unacceptable’ after the North London club fell to a 2-1 loss in Slovenia on Thursday night.

It was a great opportunity for several of Tottenham’s fringe players to make an impression on Antonio Conte after the Italian rang the changes for the clash but the Lilywhites never appeared to impose themselves on the game.

The away side scored a stoppage-time winner on the counter-attack as a ten-man Spurs side were chasing the winner following Ryan Sessegnon’s sending off in the first half.

Kane rued the mistakes that Tottenham made on the night and apologised to Spurs fans for the performance. He also revealed that Sessegnon was distraught after his sending off.

More than the result, I believe it is the first-half performance that would have angered Conte. The likes of Dele, Sanchez, Doherty, Ndombele and Rodon did not show anything to suggest that they can be counted upon moving forward.
