Jamie Carragher has named Harry Kane in his Premier League Team of the Season and suggested that the Tottenham man may have had as good a season as Erling Haaland.
Because of the ridiculous number of goals Haaland has scored in his debut Premier League campaign, it appears as if Harry Kane‘s impressive numbers this season have gone under the radar.
The Spurs star has already found the back of the net 28 times in the Premier League and 30 times in all competitions (Transfermarkt) and has created history by becoming the first player to score in 25 different league games across a 38-game Premier League season (talkSPORT).
Carragher included the England captain in his Team of the Year, naming a front three of him, Haaland and Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool legend waxed lyrical about Kane for the number of goals that he has managed to score this season despite playing in the worst Tottenham team he has been part of over his career.

Carragher told Sky Sports Football Daily about Kane: “Unbelievable. Haaland, we’ve said before, Player of the Year, he’s a freak.
“But Harry Kane, what he’s done this season, playing in probably the worst team he’s played in, to get that number of goals is, I think, out of this world.
“He’s probably in some ways, has he had as good a season as Haaland?”

One can argue that Kane has arguably had the best season of his career so far, considering how poor Spurs have been this season and the general lack of service he has received throughout the campaign.
The 29-year-old has certainly silenced those who were suggesting a year or two ago that Kane’s numbers in front of goal are going to drop, now that he has adapted to playing in a deeper role.
