Manchester United have been rumoured as suitors for Wilson Palacios in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are on the look-out for a holding midfielder with the fitness of Owen Hargreaves a persistent doubt.
Palacios has been touted as a replacement, having generally impressed in a Tottenham shirt since his move from Wigan 18 months ago.
The Honduran has endured a slow start to this season however, and with Tom Huddlestone impressing in the holding role, Palacios has often been left looking on from the bench.
Palacios has never disguised his hopes of playing for one of the world’s best clubs, with Real Madrid having been the club he has spoken about most.
He may not be able to turn down a move to the Premier League giants though, should United match Tottenham’s £16million asking price for the 26 year-old.
