United unwilling to do business with Spurs over Martial

According to an article in the mirror Anthony Martial will not be sold to Tottenham even if the club are prepared to pay in excess of £70million for him.

Frenchman Martial has been told he can leave Manchester United, however it will only on their terms and United are unwilling to let Martial join a Premier League rival, even if they may be willing to go above United’s £70m valuation of the forward.

Red Devil’s boss Jose Mourinho has accepted Martial’s desire to leave United this summer after three years, knowing it is pointless keeping a dissatisfied player, however United are insisting Martial only leaves on their terms.

The article adds that Mourinho believes it is the right time to offload Martial and he could resurrect his interest in Ivan Perisic on the back of the Croatian’s star turn at the Russia World Cup.

Tottenham have a long standing interest in Martial as have Chelsea and the article adds that Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain are interested in the former Monaco forward, with United now willing to negotiate with both.

Although Martial has struggled under Mourinho’s reign, the article adds that United know Martial’s age and profile means they can command a big fee for him.
