Updated injury news as two first team stars return for Fulham match

Reports suggest that both Erik Lamela and Kieran Trippier could return to the starting line up against Fulham on Saturday.

Trippier starred for England at the World Cup as one of the players of the tournament, and now, with a week of training under his belt, is supposedly ready for his league return.

Erik Lamela is also said to be back in contention for a start against Fulham at Wembley this weekend, but the match could come a little too soon for long-term absentee Harry Winks.

The Evening Standard reported that both players have returned to full training this week with the first team, following their respective injuries.

Winks is being eased back in after having a summer surgery on his ankle, while Lamela has returned from a muscle injury.

The Argentine will be hoping to hit the ground running this season, with plenty of competition for places in the left and right-wing positions.

Juan Foyth (thigh), Victor Wanyama (knee), and Cameron Carter-Vickers (groin) remain on the long-term injury list.

Heung Min Son now officially away at the Asia Games with South Korea.

Danny Rose is expected to miss the game du to the uncertainty around his Tottenham future. It remains to be seen if the same is to be said of Toby Alderweireld with reported Bayern Munich interest.

Would you like to see Lamela and Trippier start against Fulham? How good is it to see Winks back in training?
