Micky van de Ven was asked to name the player who pulls off the most audacious skills in training and his answer might surprise Spurs fans.
The Tottenham squad has several creative players as well as a few technically gifted wide-men with the likes of James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, Son Heung-min and even Bryan Gil all possessing the balance and guile to go past players.
However, in a segment with Premier League Uncut, Van de Ven gave a surprising answer when asked to name the most skilful player at Spurs.
When the question was put to him, the Dutchman quickly responded: “Richarlison“.
With the 26-year-old being Brazilian, one would certainly expect him to possess his fair share of tricks and although he might not pull them out often during matches, it sounds like he does so in training.

Van de Ven also nominated Richarlison as the player with the best goalscoring celebration at Tottenham, picking the former Everton man ahead of the likes of James Maddison and Son Heung-min, who have the famed darts and photograph celebrations respectively.
When asked whose celebration he loves the most, the 22-year-old responded: “I would say Richy. I love the one from Richy.”

The fact that Richarlison leads the line and often plays with his back to the goal might be the reason why he does not get the opportunity to showcase his Samba skills. The Brazilian evidently loves a nutmeg and now that he is playing with a lot more confidence, we might get to see him try that more often.
