It’s a new week so that means only one thing – another story linking Rafael van der Vaart with a move to Hamburg.
Thankfully the Tottenham midfielder has insisted that there has been no official contact. Rafa is idolised by all at the German club after the three fantastic years he spent there before moving onto Real Madrid.
Hamburg-based billionaire Klaus-Michael Kuehne is said to be spearheading a move to bring Van der Vaart back to the Bundesliga.
“I am an investor for new players and am definitely available,” Kuehne is quoted by Bild.
Van der Vaart did admit that he still has fond feelings for Hamburg, especially since his wife Sylvie still works there.
“I am happy and I am surprised myself how much I still love Hamburg, currently however there is no contact,” he told Bild.
