Rafael van der Vaart has taken to Twitter to post a hilarious photo after former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp signed up for the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
van der Vaart was brought to White Hart Lane by Redknapp on transfer deadline day for a bargain fee of £8million (Telegraph) from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2010.
The Dutchman announced his retirement from professional football last week and joked that he could be set to join his former boss down under.
The 35-year-old is held in high regard among the Spurs fans after scoring 24 times in 63 appearances over a two-year spell with the club.
Redknapp will reportedly earn a huge £500,000 (Yahoo) for his time on the show which is set in the Australian jungle.
He will be joined in the jungle by EastEnders actress Rita Simons, television presenter Nick Knowles, actress Emily Atack, former X Factor singer Fleur East, The Vamps musician James McVey, The Chase “Governess” Anne Hegerty, Coronation Street’s Alya Nazir and Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer.
